What is a custom reporter ?

In the same way Test Maker provide several out of the box reporters to its users, Test Maker allows you to create your own custom reporters. That means that you can choose what should be displayed in your test report.

How to build a custom reporter ?

  The custom reporter can be build by using the data that Test Maker provides at the end of a test. For example, Test Maker generates a json file that contains test executions metrics. This JSON file can then be consumed by any reporting software to produce a report that is fashionable according to this reporting software features.  

Why using a custom reporter?

Using a custom reporter allows to highlight specific part of a test report that informs you directly about what your are keen on knowing. This then serves as a way to answer, in the most direct way possible, any specific questions that you may have.
